About the event
The Sultana and Richland area consistently generates litter from pedestrian traffic, nearby commercial activity, and stormwater movement. This location has become a regular focus area because of the visible impact volunteers can make in just a couple of hours.
We begin with a safety briefing at 8:00 AM before heading into the surrounding neighborhood and corridor areas. Volunteers collect litter for approximately 90 minutes before returning for a final weigh-in and group photo.
Litter Free Upland is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to beautifying our city through volunteer service. Together we have completed 78 cleanups, removed over 9,567 pounds of litter, and logged more than 1,400 volunteer hours.
Everything is provided for you.
Thanks to T&G Roofing and Solar Company – Upland 36 Years, volunteers receive gloves, bags, litter pickers, drinks, and snacks at no cost.
