Monthly Pacific Electric Trail Cleanup at the Upland Public Library

Join Litter Free Upland for our monthly service day along the Pacific Electric Trail near the Upland Public Library. Volunteers will collect litter along the trail and surrounding areas. Depending on current conditions, the morning may also include light weed removal and care for our adopted trail area. According to our cleanup records, Litter Free Upland has completed at least eight previous service days at or immediately around the Upland Public Library and this section of the Pacific Electric Trail. Together, volunteers removed approximately 1,162 pounds of trash from this area. Previous cleanups have addressed illegally dumped furniture, tires, discarded household items, overflowing trash containers, cigarette waste, and smaller litter scattered along the trail. This location has brought together Kiwanis members, students, community clubs, families, and other local volunteers. Meet outside near the Upland Public Library and look for the Litter Free Upland check-in area and cleanup supplies. Litter Free Upland provides cleanup supplies. Volunteers should wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and clothing appropriate for outdoor work. Bring water and sun protection. Families, groups, and first-time volunteers are welcome. Community service hours are available. All volunteers must complete the Litter Free Upland volunteer waiver before participating.
