Big News: Litter Free Upland is now an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit 🎉

We’ve got something worth celebrating — Upland Acts of Service (DBA: Litter Free Upland) is now officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

That means your donations can be tax-deductible, and we can grow this work in a bigger, more sustainable way — with better equipment, more volunteers, and new community programs.

Retroactive tax-deductible receipts

Our exemption is retroactive, so we’ll be sending out donation receipts for contributions already received. If you’ve donated in the past and want to ensure we have your preferred contact info for your receipt, please reach out through our website.

What we’ve done so far (and what’s next)

This didn’t start with paperwork — it started with people who care about Upland.

• 50+ cleanup pickups completed

• Nearing 3 tons of litter removed

• Working toward Caltrans Clean City certification

• Building new programs that expand beyond litter removal:

  • Trail beautification

  • A stronger focus on public art, our heritage, and community pride

  • New ways for residents, schools, service clubs, and businesses to participate

We’re committed to continued growth — not just cleaning up, but beautifying Upland and building a culture of stewardship and pride.

We’re seeking support: vehicle + cash + in-kind donations

To expand, we need real infrastructure. Our immediate goal is a vehicle to safely and efficiently transport supplies, tools, signage, and collected trash.

We’re currently seeking:

• Vehicle donation (van preferred; pickup second)

• Cash donations

• In-kind donations, including:

  • Cleanup supplies (grabbers, bags, gloves, buckets)

  • Safety gear (vests, cones, first aid)

  • Storage support (shed space, secure storage solutions)

  • Printing/signage sponsorship

  • Water/snacks support for volunteer days
