Litter Free Upland is a program of Upland Acts of Service. This page explains how users of the Litter Free Upland mobile app can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.
Request account or data deletion
You may request deletion of your Litter Free Upland app profile/account and associated personal information at any time.
You can make a request in either of these ways:
In the app:
Open Privacy & Data and select Request Data Deletion.
By email:
Send an email to:
Use the subject line:
Litter Free Upland data deletion request
Please include the phone number you used with the app and tell us whether you want:

Your entire app profile/account deleted, or
-
Specific personal information removed.
Verification
To protect your information, Litter Free Upland may contact you to verify that the deletion request belongs to you before deleting personal data.
Information that may be deleted
After a verified request, information associated with your account may be deleted when it is no longer required, including:

Name and contact information

App profile information
-
Profile photo
-
Account-linked litter reports
-
My Tickets information
-
Account preferences and related app records
-
Other personal information that is not required to be retained
Information that may need to be retained
Some records may need to be retained for legitimate legal, safety, insurance, grant, audit, fraud-prevention, operational, or recordkeeping purposes.
Examples may include:

Signed volunteer waivers

Safety or incident records
-
Volunteer participation and service-hour records
-
Records needed to document completed cleanup activities

Information required by law or for legitimate nonprofit reporting obligations
Retained records will not be kept simply to preserve an active app account.
Processing time
Litter Free Upland will review verified deletion requests and delete or de-identify information that is not required to be retained within a reasonable period.
